Women's Cross Country Shows Well At Pre-Nationals, CanisiusPublished by
The Cornell women's cross country team, ranked No. 29 in the nation entering the weekend, competed at two invitationals on Saturday that gave the team valuable opportunities to view a pair of important post-season courses. At the Pre-National Invitational in Louisville, KY, the Cornell women competed against several other nationally ranked teams on the course that will host the NCAA Championships in November. And at the Canisius Classic in Buffalo, the Big Red raced on the course that will host the 2017 NCAA Northeast Regional. In Louisville, the Big Red finished 22nd in the large field of 45 teams in the seeded "Red" race. At Canisius, the Big Red took seven of the top eleven places and were led by individual race winner, sophomore Jackie Katzman, en route to a commanding team victory.
