EUGENE, Ore. A return trip to the Olympics for Morgan Uceny '07 fell just out of reach on Sunday when she finished in fifth place in the women's 1,500 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials at Hayward Field. A finalist in the event at the 2012 Olympics, Uceny moved methodically into second place on the final lap of Sunday's race, needing to finish in the top three to secure a second straight Olympic bid. She ran solid time of 62.10 seconds in the final 400 meters, but was ultimately passed by Brenda Martinez and Amanda Eccelston and finished in fifth place with a time of 4:06.94.
